Sore throat is characterised by an inflammation of the pharynx region of the throat and is usually accompanied by cold. Symptoms The person experiences pain and inflammation in the throat that is often followed by fever and the voice turns hoarse.The back of the throat may turn red and the patient may find difficulty in swallowing. Root causes Sore throat is generally caused due to a common cold and influenza.It may also be caused during sinusitis and tonsillitis.
